EQ is equipment, and it can help your exp rate a LOT. For caster guilds, you want eq that boosts your spr, so you can get your spell points back faster. Also +int or +wis, depending on which one your spells depend on. As a fighter guild, take eq that gives +str/dex/con so you can do more damage in combat.

When buying eq, most of the time you'll get it on the sales channel. Some things you need to know are when someone says '100k mb', that means 100,000 gold Minumum Bid. Don't even try to bid less than that.

Another thing that you need to know about the item is its glow. When an item reaches a Dull glow, it starts to lose its stats and regen. It's still perfectly fine even at a feeble glow, but when buying an item it's best to try to get it either brilliant or shining.

Before you go out and buy expensive eq, make sure you have a place to store it! The mud reboots every 24 hours and everything you have on you will be lost at that time. There are two different ways to save your eq:

Storage Lockers

Storage lockers are located 3 w;n;e from cs, and you can rent a locker that holds ten items. Lockers cost 200 gold for each hour. I'm not sure if there is a cap on how long you can rent a locker for, and if someone knows please email me. To rent a locker, type 'rent <hours>' where hours is how many hours you want. You must have enough gold in your inventory to do this. To see how many hours you have left, type 'check'. To add more hours to your locker, type 'add <hours>'. After you have the locker, you need to enter the closet it is in using the command 'enter'. In the closet is your locker. I think you have to open and close it, but I've never used one so I'm not sure. The main drawback to this is if your rent expires, the eq is GONE!.

Chests

Chests are a lot more expensive, but in the long run they are a lot better. Read my castle/chest help for more info on them.
